We’ve launched our first TV Ad

We’re thrilled to reveal that our first TV ad has launched today – with the hope of encouraging more people to become members of the credit union, and to improve the financial resilience of those who serve and protect.

Assembled during lockdown with the support of Sky, our ad is coming to small screens across specific counties throughout the month of June.

Business Development Manager for Serve and Protect Credit Union, Rob Lovesey, had this to say “It feels very special to have launched our first TV Ad. We are extremely proud and are excited to see the results!”

Delivering a Simple Message

With TV Ads relatively new to credit unions in the UK, and taking into account the lack of awareness of credit union, we wanted to make sure our message was simple and focussed on our main selling point.

After surveying our members in early 2021, we learned that payroll deduction was considered the most important benefit to them, above the likes of ‘Low APR on Loans’ and being ‘Not-for-Profit’.

Rob added “We’ve tried to simplify our messaging as much as possible to create an ad that is relatable to all the markets that we serve, whilst getting across our key selling point”.

With a view to running more in the future, we will be paying close attention to the level of success from our first TV Ad.
