Military Membership Milestone

Last week the credit union celebrated Armed Forces Day by reaching the 3,000 milestone for its military membership.

This market now makes up 10% of our total membership – with over £12.5million in loans issued to Service Personnel since 2015.

The credit union has recently launched tailored brands for each of the core markets it serves – Police CU, Military CU and Prison CU.

This is in line with the credit union’s long term mission to help improve the financial resilience of all those that ‘Serve and Protect’ the nation.

Paul Norgrove, CEO of Serve and Protect CU said:

We made the decision to simplify our product offering and branding, stripping everything back to focus on what we do best – helping our members to save, but making sure they know we are there for them should they need to borrow. The results have been fantastic – with increased membership and loan growth in all areas.
