Anisha’s Story

Thanks to the credit union, we had enough funds for both our renovated home and a wedding.

Having just purchased their first home, Anisha and her husband were excited to start planning their wedding until they realised that they did not have enough funds to make their dream day a reality.

Despite the obstacles to planning a wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple could not wait any longer. On a tight schedule, Anisha and her husband began to search for lenders, and they came across Serve and Protect Credit Union.

As an employee of an NHS Trust in East London, Anisha was able to join the credit union in September 2020 and apply for a loan of £10,000. Within days she was accepted, and Anisha had this to say:

Thanks to the credit union, we had enough funds for both our renovated home and a wedding. We got married in November 2020, and it is all thanks to Serve and Protect. Without you we wouldn’t be where we are now.

With question marks around the wedding date, guest count, location, and extent of travel involved, the pandemic certainly made it tough for couples who wanted to get married. Despite these challenges, we are pleased that as a credit union we were able to help Anisha and her husband to tie the knot.

Whether you are postponing your wedding plans or looking to get married in the near future, Serve and Protect Credit Union are here to help you save for your big day, and there if you need to borrow.
