Making a Difference Together: Our 2021 Impact and Achievements
Our latest impact report is all about sharing the positive changes we’re making in the lives of the people we serve. It’s a chance to reflect on the difference we’re making together in our community.
During a time when so many of our members have given so much, our mission has never been more important. We’ve been there for keyworkers on the frontlines of the pandemic—easing money worries, helping build financial resilience, and supporting thousands to manage debt.
This report highlights our ongoing commitment to providing access to affordable credit and financial education for our members. But it also celebrates the bigger picture—like how we’re using sport to promote wellbeing and how we’re supporting our own team in the workplace.
One example of this was the exercise challenges we ran in 2021. In January 2021, personal wellbeing scores hit some of their lowest levels ever recorded, according to the ONS. To make a positive difference, we launched #StayForceFit and #StayFireFit in February and April. These challenges encouraged people to get moving, with participants logging their miles on behalf of their Police Force or Fire & Rescue Service. Thousands of pounds in donations were up for grabs for Welfare Funds and The Fire Fighters Charity. We were blown away by the response—296 participants collectively covered an incredible 86,920 miles!
We’re so proud to share these stories with you and hope you enjoy learning more about the impact we’re making together at Serve and Protect Credit Union.
