Financial Wellbeing for Staff
Supporting your workforce has never been easier. Our payroll deduction service allows your employees to save and repay loans directly from their salary—completely stress-free and at no cost to you.
Serve and Protect are working with employers across the police, prison, military, fire and health services to make it easier for employees to save regularly and borrow responsibly by enabling payroll deduction.
Our mission is to improve financial resilience. Our members play important roles in serving and protecting us all, so we want to help them look after their finances, so they one less thing to worry about.
Almost half of Brits have £1,000 or less in savings, and 16% have no savings at all (Source: Finder, 2025).Â
At Serve and Protect, we are working with employers across the police, prison, military, fire and health services to make it easier for employees to save regularly and borrow responsibly by enabling payroll deduction.
Removes Friction
People want to save, but the hardest thing about saving is getting started. Enabling payroll deduction can make it easy for your employees to build a healthy savings habit.
Build Savings Habits
We encourage all our members to save. Even our members who want to borrow are required to save as well.
Pay Yourself First
Have you heard of ‘pay-yourself-first’ budgeting? It is a budgeting method where you set aside money to save on your payday before spending on anything else.
Fewer Loan Declines
Automatic repayments result in less defaults and fewer loan declines. In fact, the chances of a payroll deducted loan not being repaid is just 2% compared to 15% for other methods (Source: Inclusion Centre, 2023).
We are currently assessing a high volume of loan applications. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to assist you as quickly as possible.
Please Note: We will be closed on Monday 5th May for the Early May Bank Holiday. Any transactions made after 2pm on Friday 2nd May will be processed on Tuesday 6th May. We appreciate your understanding.
